Split Rail Fencing
Split Rail fencing is a traditional fence installed in Virginia throughout the years by many landowners. Although not as "historically" popular as stack rail fence, it offers a traditional wood look to your home, farm or estate. We install hemlock wood split rails on hard, locust posts. We occasionally have requests for pressure treated pine as well. The rails are considered "jumbo size."
Split Rail is easy and fun to install, so if you are looking for a rustic fence you can easily do yourself, this may be the option for you. Rails slip in easily into the holes in the posts and are "locked" into place by each other. If a rail rots out over time, it is easy to replace.
