Fence Options:

If you like the traditional look of board fence, we offer installations of various designs; from treated pine, rough cut oak board, to stained or painted board fence.
Most ground conditons allow us to drive the posts with a post pounder, recommended over augering the posts because less ground is disturbed, keeping the fence stronger. With much experience in driving posts, we take great care and pride in ensuring that your fence line is straight and professionally installed.
We recommend using round 4 to 5" posts instead of square posts, which greatly increases the strength and durability of your fence. There is less surface area for water to lay behind a board, reducing the chance of boards rotting. Square posts can more easily warp and break on impact, as well.

Woven wire is a popular option for many Virginia cattle farms in this area. We recommend a fixed knot, high tensile woven wire fencing, which is stronger and more durable than regular woven wire.
High tensile wire fence is probably the most economical fence option available on the market today. When properly installed, it is a great fence for cattle, sheep, goats... or whatever other farm animals you have. However, because of it's low visibility, it is not recommended for horses.
High tensile is easy to install when you have the right equipment, but it must be done correct to avoid a lot of headaches later. We always properly brace all corners and ends. Most fence posts can be 20 to 30 ft. apart, helping to reduce the cost of fencing. High tensile fencing must be properly electrified so that animals respect it and it is important to inspect the fence on a regular basis in case trees or branch limbs have fallen on it. It usually needs to be tightened every spring, however this is quite easy to do with the right tools.
