First, we do not receive any commission for this information or the sale of any style of fence. It is based on many years of experience installing both Centaur HTP® and other generic brands of fence similar to Centaur HTP®.

1. We have personally installed Centaur HTP® at our farm for our horses. We have never had a horse injured on it. Our fence has held up well over the years, with minimal maintenance involved. It looks nearly as brand new as the day it was installed.

2. We have personally seen imitation brands that have not held up, with the polymer weakening over time and tearing. Some manufacturers of the imitation brands have not honored their warranties or stood behind their products. Centaur has been in business for over 20 years and is a reputable company.

3. You won't find a higher quality continous rail fence anywhere else, because so many of Centaur's attributes are patented.

4. We've installed Centaur for over 7 years. Our customers' have given us rave reviews, some have had horses run into the fence, with minimal injury to the horse in comparison to what would have happened if it would have been a board or vinyl fence.

5. Other styles of fence just do not offer the safety and containment that Centaur HTP does:

Vinyl fencing can injure a horse if it shatters or splinters. We had a mare that would put her head through the rails and pop them out.

Board fence is extremely high maintenance and costly. It only lasts approximately 15 years or less. Major maintenance is usually needed long before that, with nails protruding, boards rotting, warping or splitting. It's also not the safest option, especially if the upkeep on the fence is not maintained.

Woven Wire - Also a dangerous option, if a horse gets his foot through the large openings of the woven wire, it can entrap the horse.

Bare high tensile wire is extremely dangerous for horses and can act like a cheese grater if a horse gets his leg caught in it.
